Fun with Telefomin Friends
The Christmas Party for my Telefomin Church Fellowship Group. We had such fun and shared lots of food together. I am blessed to have these friends & neighbours!
Easter Weekend
We had a fun and busy long Easter weekend with visitors, a picnic, Easter Egg Hunt, meals with friends and a visit to one of the local villages. Lots of fun but it ended with saying goodbye, as things so often do in our life in PNG…
We are finally Home!
It’s so nice to be back in our home in Telefomin, we were greeted with smiles and flowers when we landed, and found more decorations around our front door. It’s been a busy few days unpacking and doing some maintenance, but we are home now!
We’re back in PNG!
It was an emotional journey, but we made it on 4 flights and we’re in Mt Hagen, where MAF’s HQ is. Thank you so much to everyone who spotted our urgent call for prayer, God answered, we made it all the way with all 7 of our suitcases!!!
Bible Sales
Shiv got the opportunity to sell Bibles to some bush people whilst covering at Telefomin base. This lady wasn’t quite sure why a phone was being pointed at her, but when she asked for the Bibles she was very pleased to hear we had them in stock again!
Weekend up the Mountain
After a busy month of May, preparing the house next door for our new neighbours, we were really grateful to get away for the weekend with some of our friends in Mt Hagen.
Sending the Love!
Thank you! For every one of our dear friends, family & supporters who have ever sent us a piece of mail, thank you so much!
As much as I miss mail, I would still advise to not send us post this year, but I just wanted to say a really warm & heartfelt thank you to all of you who have made the effort to go the extra mile in the past, it really made the distance between us feel less! Thank you and God bless.
Maintenance Blessing
A couple of hard working men from our MAF Maintenance Department came to Tele for 2 weeks in October. They did lots of important jobs, like putting liners in our neighbour’s water tanks, putting a concrete cover over a septic tank, fixing rotten stairs, fixing roof leaks. There was a lot of priority work to be done as they were unable to come out earlier in the year due to COVID.
In amongst all the priorities, I asked them if they could please fix my path, from my back door to my outdoor laundry area, but only if they had time and enough cement left. (All the cement had to be flown in!) Thankfully, they found some time and I now have a smooth path which does not have weeds growing or puddles on it when it rains. It’s a minor thing, but it will make doing laundry just a little easier for me!
Thank you Graham & Wesley, and the Maintenance Team!
