Unusual Delivery…

People often ask me (Shiv) to describe a typical day, but I find it challenging because “typical” would define anything that happened out of the ordinary. Thursday was a great example…

I cut slits in a small cardboard box and lined it with a plastic bag & newspaper, in order to transport 2 Guinea pigs from Telefomin to Wewak, on the north coast of PNG. Whilst our Australian neighbours are on Home Assignment for the next 6 months, we have become the adopted parents of their 7 Guinea pigs. They have a lovely big hand-made cage, so I move it around our lawn a couple of times per day to keep them well fed. Before our neighbours left, I was told that 2 of the baby Guinea pigs would be moving to Wewak once their new family had returned from holiday. I managed to find a lawn that been freshly cut, so the Guineapigs had a large handful of grass to keep them occupied on their journey to their new home.
