School Books for Telefomin High School

Recently I was able to help deliver some books to the Primary & High Schools in Telefomin. I had nothing to do with the donations, they were sent from Australia, I was only one of the delivery people, along with my neighbours, but it was wonderful to see the gratitude on the teacher’s faces.

The High School has around 400 students, and a beautiful purpose-built library, but the shelves in the library are quite bare. These books will be a welcome addition. The Deputy Headmaster gave us a tour and said how the High School needs more reading material to encourage the students to read to improve their English.
