2022 is the 47th Anniversary of PNG’s Independence from Australia. Every year around the middle of September we see every wearing their PNG colours, with flags in the hair or around their shoulders. Loads of people in the community turned out this morning to hear the local Member of Parliament and other prominent people give speeches to commemorate Independence. Over the weekend there will be sporting competitions and other activities which many people will be involved with.

We are truly home in PNG!
