Happy World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Access to menstrual health education and hygiene products is simple and straight-forward in my passport country of the UK, but here in the remote rural parts of Papua New Guinea it’s a lot more challenging. Click on this link on the MAF PNG website to read about what I’m doing to bring menstrual health education and hygiene products to the young women at the High School here in my remote and isolated home village of Telefomin, near the Indonesian border.

Pictured, right, is my friend Mandy who connected with like-minded people in Australia and brought a load of reusable sanitary kits with her to Telefomin. She also filmed and put together the video, below and has been a great encouragement through this project.
