England’s Green and Pleasant Land

It was so lovely to land at Heathrow on 22 March and see the rolling green hills of England. It’s been a tough few months for us in PNG, so for me (Shiv) that familiar sight was a great comfort.

We also got to the UK in time for British Mothers’ Day, so for the first time in 4 years I was able to spend a special day with my wonderful Mum. We all went down to Stokes Bay, a 10 min walk from my parents’ house, had a lovely cooked breakfast and a walk along the shore. It was gorgeous weather for it, and really lovely to spend some time with my Mum & Dad, even if it was a lot colder than we’re used to!
